A programme of artistic research at the Royal Brussels Conservatory. This recording of KAOS is the result of in depth research made by the composer and pianist Diederik Wissels as part of his role as teacher at the Royal Brussels Conservatory. The project included several stages. First, a detailed study of the musical and historical sources. After that, in-depth analysis of the scores intended to feed into detailed work on composition of KAOS. Since the early eighties, the Dutch pianist Diederik WISSELS is one of the prominant figures of the Brussels jazz scene, place of origin of numerous internationally recognized and admired jazz musicians.
